A native of Austria, Karin Hanta holds two M.A. degrees in American Studies (Notre Dame University) and in Translation Studies (University of Vienna) and a PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Vienna. She is the author of 15 academic and non-academic books. Her passion for feminist causes led her to join Chellis House as director in 2003. A polyglot educator and two-year Fulbright recipient, Karin approaches feminist issues through a linguistic lens. She has enjoyed working with students on activist causes and passing on her own expertise.
