This spring, WRPR, DLINQ, and CTLR are collaborating on workshops focused on ChatGPT in higher education, but more importantly about what the AI tool means for Middlebury.

Update: Exploring AI: ChatGPT, LLMs, and AI is a DLINQ site created in fall 2023. It includes a section with announcements and guidance from the administration.

ChatGPT is developed by OpenAI, and uses machine learning techniques to generate natural language text that can be difficult to differentiate from text written by humans. As a result, ChatGPT has prompted educators to reconsider their teaching methods in this new era of machine-aided learning. This is an ongoing conversation as some faculty are beginning to explore the tool in their pedagogy. More conversations will certainly follow as we all learn about the tool.
