  • Recovery Month (September), a celebration of recovery in many forms—events included on substance free events, Narcan training, and community building with others in recovery and others.
  • Healthy Relationships Month (October)
  • Fresh Check Day (September 26), Health & Wellness Education and Counseling annually partner to host Fresh Check Day, a campus-wide event designed to promote mental health awareness, encourage help-seeking, and foster a culture of care and belonging. Through interactive booths, activities, games, and creative experiences led by students, peer educators, and staff, the event creates welcoming opportunities for community members to engage in conversations about mental health and well-being. Participating groups receive training on mental health promotion, effective resource referral, and the specific topics they present, strengthening the campus network of support. Fresh Check Day has become an important component of Middlebury’s mental health promotion efforts, bringing together diverse campus partners to reduce stigma, build connections, and reinforce the message that mental health is a shared community responsibility.

Highlight: Mindfulness and Mediation for PE Credit

Health and Wellness Education re-launched their Mindfulness Meditation workshop series with the ability to offer PE credit through a partnership with Athletics with great success. The winter and spring cohorts saw both record attendance and retention. We hope to grow this partnership and continue to expand student well-being series that can earn students academic credit.
