Fellowships

Middlebury students and alumni have been awarded 11 Fulbright scholarships for English teaching assistantships or study and research abroad during 2026-2027.

The Fulbright program was created by the U.S. Congress in 1946 “to foster mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchanges.” Current students and alumni apply through Middlebury, with Fellowships providing application advising and a committee review.

The 2027-2028 Middlebury application cycle has begun with preliminary reviews of draft applications through August 15. The internal submission deadline for Middlebury is September 9, 2026. Learn how to apply at go.middlebury.edu/fulbright/.
