Quantitative Center Opens in Newly Renovated Space
The Quantitative Center (Q-Center) opened this fall in what once was the Armstrong Library in McCardell Bicentennial Hall.
The newly renovated space, welcomed students with group and quiet study spaces, classrooms, and conference rooms. The center is staffed by a director, part-time coordinator, a Q-Fellow who oversees the evening tutoring, and student peer tutors and front-desk staff.
The Q-Center provides a centralized space for STEM and quantitative students and faculty to collaborate, tutor, and host meetings and workshops. The upper floor of the Q-Center is now a large group-study area where students can freely meet and talk during the day. In the evening, the tables are filled by peer tutors hosting course specific drop-in sessions.
