Friends of the Library

When founded in 1986, the Friends of the Library was just that, the friends of the singular, neoclassical Starr Library. Today, the Friends of the Middlebury College Library supports multiple physical spaces and abundant archival, print, and digital collections. The Library provides a vital resource for students, faculty, staff, and almuni, and we rely on the generosity of our Friends and donors to help support our mission.

If you are interested in learning more about how you can support us, please do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome your generosity, and remind you that all gifts to Middlebury are tax deductible.

Annual contributions of $50 or more grant borrowing privileges at the Middlebury College Library.

We recommend online donations by credit card. Please call 888.367.6433 or visit to make a secure gift online.

Or you can send a check, payable to Middlebury College, to:

Office of Advancement
700 Exchange Street
Middlebury, VT 05753

If you would like your gift to support the Library directly be sure to designate it as such on the memo line of your check or in the appropriate box if giving online.
