Volunteering on the Greenway
The Boston Chapter of the Middlebury College Alumni Association invites you to join a group of Middlebury volunteers helping the Massachusetts Horticultural Society (MHS) build Gardens on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in downtown Boston.
Volunteer activities include planting, cleaning, raking, mulching, nomenclature, and watering. Tools will be provided, but you may want to bring your own gardening gloves and knee pads.
Please visit the MHS website at http://www.masshort.org/greenway for a plan of the gardens. Public Transportation and carpooling is recommended because parking can be expensive.
WHEN: June 14, 2008
2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: On the Greenway
Corner of Atlantic Avenue and Congress Street
Boston, MA
In the event of heavy rain or severe weather the event will be cancelled or postponed.
A specific meeting place for Middlebury volunteers will be determined and passed along to those of you who sign up as soon as it becomes available.
