OUR CLASS GIFT

How to contribute

Any gift or commitment you make to Middlebury this year will count towards our class reunion gift. So whether you prefer to support the Alumni Fund, the library, athletics, or a specific scholarship fund, your contribution will count towards our overall class gift.

You may also spread a gift over several years by making a multiyear pledge. The entire pledge amount will be included in our class total, and will also count towards the College’s fundraising initiative. For example, you may contribute $10,000 to Middlebury over five years, giving $2,000 each year. All $10,000 would be credited to our class gift, as well as the Middlebury Initiative.

CLASS OF 1958 STUDENT ASSISTANCE FUND

In honor of our 50th Reunion, we’ve decided to establish the Class of 1958 Student Assistance fund. This fund will provide financial aid for at least one student each year, and will give special preference for students who encounter unexpected financial need while at Middlebury. To direct your gift to our class fund, simply specify "Class of 1958 Student Assistance Fund" on your check or in the comment section when you make a gift online.

OTHER SPECIAL FUNDS

During this special Reunion year, you might consider making a significant investment in a specific Middlebury program or project that you are most passionate about. For information about setting up a scholarship, professorship, or other special fund, contact Dick Johnson at rcjthefarm@aol.com.

PLANNED GIFTS

A planned gift can be a great way to maximize the impact of your contribution. You can receive an income for life and a charitable income tax deduction by establishing a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust, which counts towards our class gift totals. For more information about planned gifts, contact Peter Honegger at honeggers8@aol.com.
