Your Midd 10th reunion on June 6–8 is almost here! We expect you’ve started to make your travel plans, and now is the time to register officially by sending your registration materials to Middlebury or by registering online.

Our ’98 class will be staying in Allen Hall. If you have friends you’d like to stay with, please indicate their names on the registration form, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. (See more details below.)

Housing The alumni office is happy to put groups together, but it’s up to you to let them know who is in your group. If you’re interested in staying with friends, it works best if you nominate a group leader to coordinate the effort. Once the leader has been designated and the group is coordinated, each registrant should list the group leader’s name on his or her registration card. Additionally, the leader should send the alumni office a master list that includes spouses, guests, and children. Get your registration in early—before the May 23 deadline. The alumni office cannot guarantee that housing requests will be honored for registrations received after that date.

Friday — Registration will begin at 4 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. Friday night’s reception and dinner behind the Mahaney Center for the Arts will be our kickoff. After dinner, people can gather at Allen to reminisce and listen to the jazz funk sounds of Chris Farrell and his band.

Saturday — Lots of activities have been planned for Saturday, including a golf scramble, a 5K run on the cross-country trail, a tour of the new library, and lectures by Middlebury alumni and faculty. Our class will have lunch at the Mahaney Center for the Arts, where there are all sorts of events planned with children in mind.

A new, not-to-be-missed event is the 5 vs. 10 Year Reunion Olympics that will take place on Battell Field, beginning at 1 p.m. There will be team and individual events such as whiffle and kick ball, watermelon spitting, and three-legged races; trophies will be awarded, and fun will be had. Your reunion social chairs will send you more information on how to sign up, and we’re expecting a large and exuberant turn out.

5 vs. 10 Year Reunion Olympics!
Saturday, June 7th
1:00 pm, Battell Field
Team and individual events
Trophies will be awarded

At 4:30 p.m., we’ll gather at Mead Chapel for the reunion parade, followed by Alumni Convocation. The 75-year span of Midd alumni marching into Mead is an amazing sight.

After Convocation, we’ll have our class photo taken and then head to a gala dinner. Francois Clemmons will perform in the CFA after dinner, and later, the Grift, which has some familiar faces (Peter Day ’01, Clint Bierman ’97 and our own Jeff Vallone ’98), will entertain us.

Child care is available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Unfortunately, the College isn’t able to arrange for private baby sitters or cribs, so be sure to bring your Pack n’ Play or arrange for sitters beforehand. Space is limited, so register early and check the enclosed brochure for more details.

If you need help with any plans related to your return to Middlebury, contact Heather Cahill in the alumni office. She’ll be happy to help you.

We look forward to seeing you in Middlebury, June 6–8. And please send along any suggestions or questions. Can’t wait to see everyone in all their awesomeness. This will be a weekend to remember!

See you soon,
