April 2008
Hello Everyone!
We hope by now you’ve marked June 6–8 on your calendars and are as excited as we are to head back to Vermont for our fifth-year reunion. You can either send the registration materials back to Middlebury or register online. Our fifth-year reunion promises to be a great one . . . but only if you are there.
A lot of people have asked us where we will be staying. You’ll be pleased to learn that our class will be staying in the luxurious, five-star residence Coffrin Hall. Registration begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, in the lounge, and will run until 11 p.m. The rooms are almost exclusively singles, so couples get ready to get cozy, and friends start planning your block.
Parking is located in the Freeman Lot: From downtown Middlebury, you’ll want to bear right onto Route 125W (at Otter Creek Bakery) and take your first right onto Weybridge Street. Continue down this street until you reach the stone pillars on your left. Take a left at the pillars and go straight ahead. We hope you don’t get lost, but if you do there will be signs.
Friday: Reunion Lounge begins at 4 p.m. Dinner and drinks will be served behind the Mahaney Center for the Arts, starting at 6 p.m.
Saturday: Depending on how tired you are from the night before, there are lots of activities lined up for Saturday morning: a 5K run on the cross-country trail, an all-class golf scramble, walking tours of the campus, and lectures by alumni and faculty. Rowers will want to return to Lake Dunmore for the second annual reunion row. Contact Alex Machi if you plan to attend.
Our class will have lunch at the Mahaney Center for the Arts. Afterwards, for the sporty and not so sporty, we present the first annual 5th- and 10th-Year Reunion “Olympic” Challenge. Events will include whiffleball, ultimate Frisbee, dizzy bat, and more things we cannot include in this formal letter . . . *wink*

We’ll gather at Mead Chapel at 4:30 p.m. for the reunion parade—every class will “march” up the hill, and Alumni Convocation will follow. Then we'll get to take a class photo (à la freshman year), which will be sent to everyone after reunion.
After the photo, we’ll join all the reunion classes for a gala dinner.
From there, we can head back to Coffrin for more good times at Reunion Lounge. Additional entertainment includes Francois Clemmons in the Concert Hall and alumni band the Grift playing in Pepin.
If you are bringing children, all sorts of activities have been planned for them: a magic show, face painting, and art projects. Child care is available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Unfortunately, the College is not able to arrange for private babysitters or cribs. Space is limited, so register early and check the enclosed brochure for more details.
Anyone wishing to play golf during the weekend should find a foursome and join the all-class golf scramble (details enclosed) or contact the pro shop, at 802.443.5125, to reserve a tee time. There are special alumni greens fees, so be sure to mention that you’re coming for reunion.
If you need help with any plans related to Reunion Weekend, don’t hesitate to contact Heather Cahill in the alumni office. She can answer almost any question and will be happy to help you. As always, feel free to get in touch with either of us with any suggestions or questions. You can send us an e-mail at midd03reunion@gmail.com or join the Facebook group “Reunion 2008.” If you have already replied yes to reunion on the Facebook group, but not officially to Midd, please do so ASAP!
Now is the time to start planning – call your friends, make your travel arrangements, and get ready for a fantastic weekend!
See you soon,
