The 4th Annual Scholarship Luncheon was held on May 11, 2013 in Pepin Gymnasium. With more than 230 guests in attendance, the gymnasium was filled with donors and students, many of whom met for the first time.

During the 2012-2013 academic year, the College had a financial aid budget of $37.5 million. Nearly a quarter of the budget ($8.7 million) came from the support of more than 350 expendable and endowed scholarships, which provided financial aid to approximately 480 students this year alone.

Adrienne Matunas '13, the student speaker and recipient of the Cathy and Shawn Ryan '88 Scholarship for Writers, gave a gracious and inspiring speech during the luncheon. (To hear Adrienne's speech, click below on the play button.)

We are grateful to the many donors and students whose participation made this year's luncheon such a special event.

Adrienne Matunas ’13

"Not only does your faith in what we’re doing at Middlebury affirm and remind us of its value, but it also inspires us to do the same—to open for others the doors you have opened for us."
