Meet the first member of the faculty to be named as Middlebury's John M. McCardell, Jr. Professor—Don Wyatt. Don has been a member of the history department for 25 years, and he carries on John's legacy of excellence in his own scholarship, his dedication to teaching, and his close engagement with students.
McCardell Scholar Caroline Grego ’11
For a third and final year, Caroline Grego '11 is Middlebury's Bonnie and John M. McCardell, Jr. Scholar. Caroline is pictured above at the Vermont Folklife Center, where she works as an assistant to the archivist. She says the job, where she learns about Vermont's communities, is an extension of her academic interests as a geography major.
