Why I Volunteer:  I volunteer because I believe that individuals can make a real impact when they feel passionately about a cause.

Why I Support International Students: My family has benefitted hugely from our interaction with individuals from other countries. Our children have learned that differences are not obstacles to friendship and understanding on a larger scale. We have found that the things we don’t have in common are what makes life rich and interesting and a platform for growth on all sides of the equation. I believe that the exposure to a larger community outside the borders of one’s own country is key to the cooperation and integration of future generations. I am very grateful for my family’s many international friends and experiences and hope that by integrating more international students at Midd, we will be helping  students and their families learn to embrace the commonalities and differences of opinion that are so necessary in the building of a more peaceful world.
