The Dana R. Gibson '99 Scholarship Fund

Dana and her friend Elise on the day of their graduation from Middlebury College, May 23, 1999.
The Dana R. Gibson ’99 Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Dana Gibson, whose dedication to learning, commitment to family and friends, and love of life continue to inspire all whose lives she touched.

In 1999, Dana graduated from Middlebury College with a bachelor’s degree in French. To further her studies, she enrolled in the Middlebury School in France, where she embraced the Parisian lifestyle and culture, and earned a master’s degree in 2000. Dana was a student of the world and her zest for knowledge and passion for travel took her throughout the United States and Canada and across the ocean to England, Morocco, Spain, and France. No matter where she traveled, Dana welcomed every challenge and opportunity with her selfless compassion, bright spirit, and infectious smile.

To honor her love of language and learning, Dana’s family has set up the Dana R. Gibson ’99 Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students attending Middlebury’s French School in pursuit of learning a foreign language, in the same manner Dana pursued her dreams.
