Ángela Pérez del Puerto is a professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She earned her first Ph.D. degree in Contemporary History at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid in 2015 and her second Ph.D. in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2016. During her years as a student, she held a graduate teaching assistantship which allowed her to teach Intermediate Spanish courses for more than 4 years. She worked as a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay teaching courses and seminars related to culture, history, gender, and literature for the Humanistic Studies Department. She has published a variety of research works on Catholicism in modern times in Spain and in the US, Women’s Catholic transnational networks in the 20th Century, and literary and cultural censorship in Contemporary Spain.
