Intercultural and Global Programs
We provide year-round opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and study-away students to work and learn with communities diverse in culture, language, and experience. Students develop their global curiosity and knowledge, cultural humility, and the skills of conflict transformation.
Language in Motion
Language in Motion (LiM) is an educational collaboration that connects Middlebury’s international, study abroad, and upper level language students with Addison County elementary, middle, and high school teachers, students, and classrooms.
Cross-Cultural Community Engagement Grants
CCCE grants supports service-learning and community-building internships and/or related volunteer service opportunities for undergraduate students in international settings, or in communities that are not the students’ own.
History in Translation
History in Translation is a summer experiential learning program in which students from diverse linguistic, cultural, and educational contexts gather as a cohort to explore an historical experience or event in service of present- day social justice - and the vision of an equitable and inclusive future.
Jiran
Jiran (جيران) is a summer language program that pairs intermediate and advanced Arabic students with underserved Arabic-speaking families in New Britain, Connecticut.
Community Engagement at the Language Schools
A cohort-based internship opportunity through which bilingual Middlebury undergraduates facilitate collaborative, community-connected projects between Language School students, community-based organizations, and/or educational partners in a language-immersive environment.
