Film Screening: Small Island Big Song—An Ocean Songline
Filmed over three years on 16 Island nations across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, this grassroots musical follows the ocean highways uniting ancient musical lineages. From Madagascar to Rapa Nui/Easter Island, Taiwan to Zenadth Kes/The Torres Strait. A heartfelt plea for environmental awareness and cultural preservation from those on the frontline of the climate crisis. A Q&A with the artists follows the screening. Sponsored by the Performing Arts Series, the Environmental Studies Program, and Committee on the Arts.

Intermediate/Advanced Ballet with Barbara Doyle-Wilch
Ballet returns to the Dance Department this Spring. Classical Ballet technique in traditional ballet class structure. No pointe shoes, please.
Each session is open to a maximum of 20 participants. PE credit is available for attendance at 8 classes. Previous dance experience in any form is recommended.

Black Studies Program Film Series - "Judas and the Black Messiah", 2021, Shaka King (English)
Judas and the Black Messiah is an American biographical crime drama film directed and produced by Shaka King. The film is about the late-60s infiltration of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party to gain intelligence on Chairman Fred Hampton. It received six Academy Award nominations and is revered as one of the greatest films of the 21st century.
