Ancilleno Davis is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at the University of the Bahamas and Faculty Programs Coordinator of UB North Field Station. He grew up on New Providence Island in The Bahamas and has visited more than 13 countries and territories to deliver scientific talks or presentations on ecology and conservation.

Please join us for a screening of a documentary film, The History of Tenryumura: Embracing truth, memory, and reconciliation. This short film takes place in a rural village in Nagano prefecture in Japan. Through interviews and conversations with elders of the village, we learn about the community’s tragic WWII history – and consider the process of reconciliation.

The Virtuous Fall of the Girls from Our Lady of Sorrows

The Virtuous Fall of the Girls from Our Lady of Sorrows, is an exploration of teenage revolution in the face of petty authoritarianism. Set in a Catholic girls’ school, the play recounts the ripple effects caused by one student’s decision to produce M4M2, a controversial sequel to Measure for Measure.
