  • Queer Student/Staff/Faculty Mixer

    All queer-identifying students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the AFC on Thursday evening from 4:30PM-6PM for a mixer event! This is an opportunity for queer students, staff, and faculty to all be in the same room together and discuss their experiences as queer individuals in and out of Middlebury. Snacks will be provided!

When severe weather events occur the National Weather Service snaps into action issuing various advisories, watches, warnings, and providing guidance to communities with the mission to protect people and property. Join us to learn more about severe weather hazards in Vermont with Patrick Wickstrom.

  • Screening: "Into The Arms of Strangers"

    Join us to screen this Academy Award-winning film (made in 2000) in commemoration of Holocaust RemembranceDay (Yom HaShoah).  For nine months prior to World War II, in an act of mercy unequalled anywhere else before the war, Britain conducted an extraordinary rescue mission, opening its doors to over 10,000 Jewish and other children from Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. These children, or Kinder (sing. Kind), as they came to be known, were taken into foster homes and hostels in Britain, expecting eventually to be reunited with their parents.

This night of short plays and scenes includes the explosive classic, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen; and This Property Is Condemned.     2023 Student Spring Symposium

    The Spring Student Symposium is an all-campus event that provides students an opportunity to showcase their academic projects to a campus-wide audience in a professional conference setting. The symposium will be a celebratory day for student presentations scheduled for Friday April 14, 2023.

    The symposium allows students of all academic disciplines and graduation years to present independent research through oral presentations, posters, and artwork. Classes are canceled, allowing the entire Middlebury community to come out to enjoy the intellectual inquiry and inspiration.

  • Earth’s Materials: Perennial Perspectives in the Arts

    Earth’s Materials: Perennial Perspectives in the Arts, a group exhibit of curated art, represents diverse responses from artists working in a variety of media that reflect, respond, and rejoice in the earth, our roots, and our relationships.

    Please join us for the exhibit opening on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., including a panel discussion from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. that evening. The event is free and open to the public.

    Crossfit Middlebury hosts 1 hour workouts open to all students. Crossfit is “constantly varied, high-intensity functional movement” — a mix of gymnastics, weightlifing, and cardio. Beginners welcome! Classes meet in Nelson Half Dome.
