    Join the student Zen Buddhist practice group every Tuesday evening for an hour of meditation and study. The group will be led by students and Joshin Byrnes, a local Zen priest and Affiliate Chaplain of the college. Come to learn about and practice Zen – no previous experience needed.

  • Applying to Medical School: An Introduction to the Health Professions Committee

    Join the Health Professions team as they demystify the professional school application process. Mary Lothrop and Hannah Benz will be leading this session on Middlebury’s internal health professions committee and how to be most competitive in the admissions process. They’ll be joined by candidates who have already gone through the HPC review process and will be able to share their personal insights.

  • Biology Seminar Series- Jessica Corman, University of Nebraska

    Dr. Corman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. A limnologist, ecosystem ecologist, and biogeochemist.

    In this talk, Dr Corman will present research on the biological and biogeochemical activity of the Niobrara River, a tributary of the Missouri River, and how these findings influence our understanding of global nitrogen and phosphorus cycles.   • Data Analytics and AI for Solving Complex Problems

    Bryan Rich ‘87, Managing Director of Applied Intelligence, and Viveca Pavon-Harr, Director of the Applied Intelligence Discovery Lab, both with Accenture Federal Services (AFS) will talk with students about their work solving some of the most complex problems faced throughout the federal government in addressing public good issues. If you are interested in learning more about how state of the art data analytics and AI methods and tools are being applied to put policy into action, you will want to hear this first-hand account of what is going on at AFS.
