An Evening of Storytelling and Piano Improvisation
For his Senior Work in Music, Brett Sorbo ’24.5 will present stories and proverbs as famously told by South African master pianist Abdullah Ibrahim, who he first met when Ibrahim visited Middlebury in 2023 as part of the Performing Arts Series. In this intimate performance setting, Brett will weave the audience through a collection of Ibrahim’s stories, both orally and by improvising at the piano. Sponsored by the Department of Music. Free and open to the public.

Weekly Sunday Night Environmental Group Meeting
Sunday Night Environmental Group (SNEG) is a non-hierarchical student org committed to climate and social justice activism. In the past we have pushed the college to divest from fossil fuels, passed anti-fossil fuel infrastructure resolutions in town, trained students on methods of non-violent direct action, occupied the statehouse, organized climate strikes, and so much more. We strive to ground our work in anti-racism, indigenous sovereignty, and community power. All are welcome regardless of prior knowledge or experience.
