The Mittelman Observatory is hosting a stargazing event on the MBH roof deck from 9:30 - 11:30pm on Wednesday June 25th, July 2nd, July 9th, and July 16th. This event is open to the public. For safety reasons, attendance is limited and registration is required. Please register for only one 35-minute stargazing time slot using the link below. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The event is free for all attendees. Note that this event will only take place if the sky is expected to be mostly clear.

We will gather to welcome Shabbat with prayer, song and ritual. The service will be led by students and staff on campus for the summer and will reflect a variety of styles and approaches to prayer. All are welcome regardless of background.

The Senior Language Authority of the Intelligence Community, who holds a master’s degree from the Middlebury College Spanish School, will provide an overview of the Community and emphasize the significant role that foreign language proficiency plays in its missions. Don Gentile will also delve into the diverse array of roles within the Community that demand foreign language skills, highlighting the expertise necessary for effective performance in these positions.

Come and discuss with CIA representatives about the many ways you can use these skills to further our national security efforts, either as a primary function of your job or as an amazing skill throughout your career. We’ll discuss the language benefits available to our officers and provide real-world examples of how language skills can benefit our mission.
