    In this interactive session, colleagues will share how they have been approaching the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI tools with their students. We’ll explore topics including syllabus language, how to talk with your students about generative AI, and assignment design. Come hear from colleagues about how their use of generative AI has unfolded in their classrooms, ask questions, and share your own experiences. Workshop by the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Research (CTLR) and Digital Learning and Inquiry (DLINQ).

  • Feminist Self-Defense Class

    All women and LGBTQ people that are Middlebury students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join us on Nov 9th and 10th for Feminist self-defense classes followed by a discussion on rape as a form of biopower. Class will be taught by Ruthie Brown (class of 2025.5), who is a 2nd degree black belt in Cuong Nhu and has taught self-defense in the US, Brazil, Colombia, and Nepal. Students will learn various mental and physical techniques that emerged in Cuong Nhu, Judo, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and Kickboxing.

  • Islam 101 with Muslim Chaplain Zahra Moeini Meybodi

    Join Associate Muslim Chaplain and Interfaith Advisor Zahra Moeini Meybodi to discuss themes that cover introductory questions about Islamic worldview, beliefs, practices and cultural heritage.  On Thursday, Nov. 16, Chaplain Zahra will lead a discussion on themes of individual and communal healing, “From Pain to Presence: Islamic Practices in Healing.”
