  • Sister to Sister October Event

    Sister-to-Sister is an organization led by Middlebury College students that facilitates monthly group events for female-identifying and non-binary middle school students.

    Join us for our first event of the year! During this event, we’ll be decorating pumpkins, making slime, eating cider donuts, and other fun fall activities! We’ll also be facilitating discussions to get to know each other better and connect as a group.

  • Bachata: El corazón de la cultura dominicana

    Bachata music has exploded in popularity across the globe over the past two decades. Many are familiar with its sound, but are less familiar with the genre’s true origin in the Dominican Republic. In this event, we will discuss bachata as a cultural phenomenon and learn about Academia de Bachata, the only music school in the world that is teaching bachata in its traditional form to Dominican youth.

    A love letter to cinema, shot across the US, Iran, Chile, China and Thailand, by seven of today’s most vital filmmakers. New life in the old house. A breakaway, a reunion. Surveillance and reconciliation. An unrecognizable world, in the year of the everlasting storm. (2 hours). Q&A with Producer Brad Becker-Parton ‘11 and Co-Producer Matthew Cherchio ’11 on Zoom at 5:15pm. Free. A Hirschfield International Film Series event. 

    In-person screenings open only to students, faculty, and staff approved to be on campus. All are welcome to stream online.

  • GlobeMed Family Weekend Tabling

    Do you want to help make your child smile during finals week? GlobeMed, Middlebury’s club for global health equity is holding a Finals Care Packages fundraiser where you can purchase a fun care package of snacks and other goodies to be delivered to your child during finals week. Proceeds benefit GlobeMed’s partner organization, Conservation-Heritage Turambe in Rwanda!! We will be outside of the football game and women’s tennis game on October 9th and 10th!

    Fall Family Weekend visitors are invited to make free reservations to visit the Middlebury College Museum of Art’s recently reinstalled permanent collection galleries and special exhibitions, “Art & Protest: Artists as Agents of Social Change” and “A New Lens: Contemporary Video & Animation.” Spaces are limited and advance reservations are STRONGLY encouraged.
