FFW 2018: Paul Ward '25 Memorial Prize

Come to the awards ceremony for the Paul W. Ward ’25 Memorial Prize in writing for the Class of 2020. The prize recognizes those second-year students who the faculty judge to have produced outstanding essays in writing classes during their first year. Refreshments will be served. Works of hand drawn animations from Studio Art courses ART 185 and ART 200 will be screened along with a concert performance by Raumshiff Engelmayer.
Raumschiff EngelMayer is a multifaceted musician who will be working along with the students finalizing their drawing animations. The resulting animations will be a part of his live concert.

André Aciman Reading and Talk

André Aciman is Distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center, CUNY. He is the author of Out of Egypt: A Memoir, False Papers, Alibis, and four novels: Call Me by Your Name, Eight White Nights, Harvard Square, and Enigma Variations. He is the co author and editor of Letters of Transit and of The Proust Project. Aciman is the recipient of a Whiting Writers’ Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship as well as a fellowship from The New York Public Library’s Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers.
