Frances Moore Lappe’ was a pioneer of sustainable food systems, long before current luminaries such as Michael Pollan and Mark Bittman started writing about food. She published the bestseller Diet for a Small Planet in 1971, the first book to point out the destructive impacts of meat production. She has written numerous articles and other books; the latest book is World Hunger: 10 Myths. She will be speaking about the intersections of food democracy, hunger and food sovereignty.

Middlebury SAAC March Madness Screening

Join Middlebury SAAC for its screenings of the NCAA March Madness championship basketball games. Watching March Madness together should provide a fun and safe opportunity to gather and enjoy this annual tournament. All students are welcome, and we hope this replicates the fun activities in which we are usually able to partake to watch the tournament. 

Currently, the games are scheduled for Sunday and Monday evenings. Seating is limited, please email if you are interested in attending.

Come out to meet the Middlebury College Men’s Rugby Club and learn about the great game of rugby! We’ll be screening the live Six Nations rugby match between Ireland and England, as well as introducing the new club leadership and meeting any new members in person to talk about rugby and the future of the club!

SAO Presents: Noman's Land Film Festival

Register for a free ticket (or tickets for you and 4 friends) for the Noman’s Land Film Festival.  Students who are studying on-campus will be invited to come and watch the feature films starting at 7pm on Thursday 3/4, Friday 3/5 and Saturday 3/6 in person, if the public health landscape allows.  Please check the campus status page at the time of the event to see if in-person programming is happening.
