To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America (also known as Treaty of Tlatelolco), the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), the Consulate General of Mexico in San Jose, and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies will host a commemorative photo exhibit and opening guest talk by Ambassador Joel Hernandez, Director General for the UN System at the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

The internship opportunities are available through both the CNS International Organizations and Nonproliferation Program (IONP) and IPSS, during fall and spring of 2016. IONP internships will include a modest stipend and travel costs.

Simon Saradzhyan - Sino-Russian Relations: Same Bed, Different Dreams?

Simon Saradzhyan is the founding director of the Russia Matters Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Mr. Saradzhyan also helps advance the center’s U.S.-Russia Initiative to Prevent Nuclear Terrorism. His research interests include international arms control, counterterrorism, and foreign, defense, and security policies of Russia and other post-Soviet states and their relations with great powers. This will be a special opportunity to hear his latest work, as well as ask questions of the expert.
