“Which Side Are You On?” a Howard E. Woodin Environmental Studies Colloquium Series talk by Garret Keizer, Writer.

The issue of environmental justice assayed from a viewpoint both leftishly biased and locally based. Questions raised: Why has “environmentalist” become a dirty word? What are the limits of environmentalism under capitalism? For whom will you be working ten years from now? Will you be working at all?

Visiting creative writing faculty members Chukwuebuka Ibeh and Lucy Ives will read from their work.

Senior English majors will read excerpts from their critical and creative writing senior theses.

The Migrant’s Journey class presents their podcast, a series of stories about making a home in the Green Mountain State. (Refreshments will be served.)

Join us for a work-in-progress showing that is part of a January term residency and arts exchange with the Australian theatre company, One Step at a Time Like This, centering Shakespeare, eco-dramaturgy, climate, theatre, and interdisciplinary methods in storytelling and performance. 

This residency culminates with a new site-specific work, ALL THE WAYS WITHOUT YOU, set in and around Wright Theatre.
