  • Carol Rifelj Lecture Series, Maryait Khader

    Sponsored by:
    Dean of the Faculty

When does refuge begin: at the border, on arrival, or earlier, when leaving first becomes imaginable, debated, and judged? Across the Arab world, a shared language surrounds departure. It appears in everyday conversation, in the media, and in the verdicts families and communities pass on those who go and those who stay. This lecture argues that poetry makes this discourse unusually visible.

  • Sunday Night Environmental Group Weekly Meeting

Sunday Night Environmental Group (SNEG) is a non-hierarchical student org committed to climate and social justice activism. In the past we have pushed the college to divest from fossil fuels, passed anti-fossil fuel infrastructure resolutions in town, trained students on methods of non-violent direct action, occupied the statehouse, organized climate strikes, and so much more. We strive to ground our work in anti-racism, indigenous sovereignty, and community power.
