My name is Andrés Oyaga (he/him) and I am a researcher, organizer, and agroecologist! I was born and raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Middlebury College in 2023 with a B.A. in Environmental Justice. My work focuses on agroecological transitions in our food system, the impacts of capital accumulation on socio-ecosystems, and community resistance to extractivism. I am excited to join the Environmental Affairs team as the new Climate Action Coordinator for the Climate Action Program (CAP) after being a Fellow for 2 years as an undergraduate. I am eager to keep supporting climate action pedagogy initiatives and students working on projects related to addressing the climate crisis. In my free time you can find me making flower bouquets, cooking, reading cook books, and exploring new places near and far!
