Julia is the liaison to the Economics, Classics, Philosophy, Linguistics, Anthropology, Geography, Sociology, Computer Science, Comparative Literature, and Disability Studies departments. Outside of general reference and instruction help, they work with students and faculty to find and process data for research or course work. They can help with data cleaning, visualization, data management plans, and using software or code for data analysis.
They have a background in Classical Studies and Computational Linguistics, and hold a Master’s in Digital Tools for Premodern Studies from Tufts University. They are especially interested in empowering researchers working in humanities fields learn and apply computational and data science techniques in their research.
