Each year, Barbie selects extraordinary women as official role models and makes dolls in the women’s likenesses. This year the toymaker honored Julia Alvarez ’71, Middlebury College Writer in Residence Emerita, with her very own Barbie. Alvarez called into NBC5-Burlington to discuss the doll.
