Thousands of private foundations and hundreds of federal agencies award billions of dollars in grants each year.
A variety of tools exist to help identify funders whose interests align with any given project.
Grants.gov is a great source for federal grant funding.
InfoEd’s SPIN is a search engine that identifies funding opportunities from public and private sources. SPIN access is integrated right into the InfoEd home screen. Anyone signed into InfoEd with their Middlebury credentials can access SPIN. If you would like help searching this database for specific funders, contact the Grants Office.
Guidestar is a searchable database of private and corporate foundations.
