ITS Winter/Spring 2022 Updates

Staff Recognition

Individuals: Nate Burt

Nate, being first to arrive and last to leave, has filled the void created by the departure of a former member while keeping his old duties and also training two other team members. He is who we turn to for resolving the most difficult issues and his success with tools like KACE, JAMF Pro, and the ever-changing macOS should be highlighted as well. Thank you for all that you do to make ITS welcoming, productive, and forward thinking. We appreciate you for more than just your work and want to celebrate your character and the positive effect you have on others. There is a quote that we found which fits Nate: “Complaining is finding faults. Wisdom is finding solutions.” – Ajahn Brahm. Thanks for continuously being wise!

Team: Unified Communications Project Team - Peggy Fischel, Mike Conlogue, Billy Sneed, Ginnie Bukowski, Mack Pauly, Trinidad Gomez, and Greg Harris

The members of the UC project team were recognized for their individual and collective contributions, in support of the replacement of our legacy phone system with a next-generation unified communications platform. Telephony remains a critical communications tool for conducting normal College operations, providing life/safety protections for our community, and connecting our geographically dispersed campuses. Replacing the phone system was no small feat! This project was high-profile, required a significant commitment of time and resources, and was completed on-time and under-budget. The team’s enthusiasm and dedication to the success of this project was outstanding! From network/systems configurations to handset deployments and community member trainings, you helped in so many ways…often going above and beyond to ensure that the goal was reached.
