With our office centrally located in Washington, DC, we provide  students, faculty, and staff from Middlebury College and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies with access to a wealth of resources in the nation’s capital:

As an academic office and resource for the Middlebury community, our office is proud to be an active hub for alumni, students, and faculty.


The Middlebury office in DC is host to alumni events as well as faculty lectures. Event services are available to Middlebury affiliates to use in our space. We have two conference rooms enabled with audiovisual technology to accommodate multiple uses. With videoconferencing capabilities, the office can connect students at any of Middlebury’s schools and programs with leading experts and policy makers who might otherwise not be available to travel to Vermont, California, or one of Middlebury’s dozens of Schools Abroad campuses. Semester in DC

The Middlebury in DC office hosts the final semester of Middlebury Institute of International Studies’ three-semester International Trade and Economic Diplomacy master’s program.

Center for Nonproliferation Studies

Our office also houses the Washington, D.C. branch of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), a division of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. The CNS Washington office hosts domestic and international experts.

DC Living

Middlebury in DC is approved to operate by the DC Higher Education Licensure Commission. Middlebury College and all of its programs have been accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, located at 209 Burlington Road, Suite 201, Bedford, MA.
