Ruth Olujobi ’25 and Victor Souza ’26 have each received a Projects for Peace grant to work on self-designed initiatives in Nigeria and Brazil.

Jin is one of 16 students chosen as a 2025-26 Luce Scholar by the Henry Luce Foundation.
Led by Excellence Anurika Joshua, a Master of Development Engineering candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, the initiative aimed to empower young men through digital education.
Colby’s two Projects for Peace grantees will use their $10,000 grant to improve internet access and help farmers in Nepal.
The College of Idaho’s Suely Soeiro and Emily Freko worked together on their Project for Peace, “She Codes for Peace – Girl Empowerment through Coding,” this past summer in Angola.
University of Richmond student Amara Ugochukwu spent her summer in Nigeria working on a project to help solve youth unemployment. The project included exploring vendors at a local market.
