The Physics Department is located in McCardell Bicentennial Hall, an award-winning facility that is home to all science departments, the College Observatory, the science library, and the Science Technical Support Services. The Physics Department maintains state-of-the-art instrumentation used for both teaching and research. With study spaces that are functional and inviting, and with intense student-faculty interaction, we create an environment in which students can thrive individually and collectively.
Completed in the year 2000 to commemorate the College's Bicentennial,
Bicentennial Hall contains 220,000 square feet of research, teaching
and office space as well as the science library.
