Yours to Explore. Connect. Begin.

Welcome to Middlebury New Student Orientation!

During New Student Orientation, you’ll get to meet your new classmates and familiarize yourself with what living and learning in the Middlebury community is all about.

Where do you start? Right away, with your New Student Onboarding course

A few days before your first semester begins, you’ll come to campus for your in-person Fall Orientation or Feb Orientation, where you’ll connect with your classmates and orientation leaders, meet with faculty, and prepare for classes. If you’re an international student or a first-generation college student, you’ll have some focused programming especially for you. You’ll have lots of time to explore campus and learn how to make the most of the next four years. You may even square dance (no kidding—it’s a Middlebury tradition)!

What To Do Before You Arrive for Orientation

New Student Onboarding Course

You’ll receive an email to start your New Student Online Onboarding course in mid-May if you’re a September student, or mid-October if you’re a Feb.

International and exchange students should review the International and Scholar Services website for important information.

You must complete your New Student Onboarding prior to your arrival on campus for Orientation.

Activate Your Middlebury Account

You’ve already received instructions for how set up your Middlebury account, so it’s time to do so if you haven’t already! After you’ve activated your account, check your email regularly. You’ll receive all of your information about New Student Orientation in your Middlebury email.

Remember: Your parent, guardian, or other trusted adults will not receive the same communications that you do. If you want your family to be on the College mailing list, they can sign up here.

Complete Your Health Forms

As soon as possible, set up your Student Health Portal and complete and upload the appropriate forms to begin your time at Middlebury.

Request a copy of your immunization records from your doctor’s office. Follow the portal instructions for completing and uploading your health forms.

Submit your health forms by:
