New Student Onboarding and Orientation, May 15, 2025

Hello!

We are so excited that you’re coming to Middlebury this fall. Your first year is the beginning of new independence, possibilities, and personal growth. We are thrilled to support you!

Accessing Your New Student Onboarding Course

It’s time to enroll in your New Student Onboarding Course. You need to complete the course modules and assignments by the listed due dates, before coming to campus. Find more information about your course on this website.

  • You must complete your assignments to register for fall classes, complete your housing forms, and access information about support services and programs. Some of your assignments, such as placement exams, should be completed now. You can complete others later on as they are released.

Note: If you will be without access to the internet for extended weeks or months over the summer, complete this form immediately.

Orientation Arrival and Orientation Communication

Move-In Day is Monday, September 1, 2025, for most students. (If you’re participating in an early arrival program, you’ll get your arrival date from your program director or coach.) In August, we’ll share specific Move-In Day details, including directions, housing assignments, parking, and your designated arrival time. You’ll be assigned an arrival time sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

We’ll send your Orientation schedule in early July.

Contact us at orientation@middlebury.edu if you have any questions. For more information regarding Orientation, you can visit our website and follow our Instagram page (@MiddOrientation).

PS: Remember to set up your Middlebury email and password! Email the Helpdesk for technical support or visit their website.

First-Year Seminar Registration, June 9, 2025

Today you will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office with a link to a form where you will express your preferences for First-Year Seminars for the Fall semester. You have a week to complete that step.

Before you complete that form, we need you to know that there have been some recent changes to the seminars being offered for Fall ’25. Two seminars from the previous list are out, and two new seminars have replaced them.

Please use our now REVISED version of the First-Year Registration Booklet to get acquainted with all the seminars on offer for students coming to campus in September.

If you have questions about the seminars or about other issues related to academics in your first semester, please email fysd@middlebury.edu.
