Fed Up: The Fight for Ethical Food Systems in Addison County

Curated by participants in Middlebury College’s 2015 MuseumWorks Summer Internship Program, this exhibition examines the human impact of food systems in Addison County, from cultivation to disposal. MuseumWorks, a collaboration between the Middlebury College Museum of Art, the Middlebury College Center for Careers and Internships, the Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History, and the Vermont Folklife Center, introduces Middlebury students to the professional world of museums through a combination of internship placements and professional development. An announcement from our friends at the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival (MNFF): Dedicated to the dynamic work of first and second time filmmakers, the MNFF offers emerging voices in cinema a chance to be heard, discussed, and celebrated. Following the Festival, the three best features and three best shorts will tour New England as part of the MNFF’s unique New England Circuit, providing the winning filmmakers with valuable additional exposure for their work. Stipends will be included to encourage filmmakers to personally attend these screenings. Passes available for $75 (entire festival) and $28 (single day) at middfilmfest.org
