Chialan Sharon Wang is a native of Taiwan and holds a Ph. D in Comparative Literature from the University of Southern California. Her research focuses on Sinophone cinema and literature. She is now working on a monograph studying Sinophone films from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan in light of the affect theory.
Before joining Middlebury College in 2023, she taught at Oberlin College and Hamilton College.
