Career Destinations and Resources

The Middlebury Language Schools are a mix of undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals. The on-campus experience offers an opportunity to connect with employers and to participate in a long-lasting alumni network.

Many students will use their language skills directly in positions including teaching, translation, and international development.  Other students will combine their passions with language as a tool to pursue careers in healthcare, management consulting, government, non-profit, law, marketing, publishing, hotel management, environmental policy, and finance.

While enrolled, students may utilize resources from the Middlebury Center for Careers and Internships (CCI).

Opportunities include:

  • Access to Employer Information Sessions. Past visits have included several government agencies, Peace Corps, Tetra Tech, The Beacon Group, the Central Intelligence Agency, and Carney, Sandoe & Associates.
  • Career Panel and Translation Panel.
  • Access to MiddNet, a Middlebury database of 7,500+ alumni and parents.
  • Career advising appointments with CCI advisors.
  • Access to the Liberal Arts Career Network (LACN) job and internship database.
