Kaley Keener

Faculty

Kaley Keener received her Master's Degree in Arabic Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Bachelor's degree from Bucknell University with a degree in International Relations and Music. She has taught at the University of Texas at Austin, Beloit College, Bucknell University, and Franklin and Marshall College, where she currently serves as Arabic Teaching Fellow, teaching all levels of Arabic. A participant in both the CASA program as well as the Arabic Flagship program, Kaley has lived in Morocco, Egypt, and Syria and is knowledgeable of Egyptian and Moroccan dialects and speaks Levantine fluently in addition to MSA. Having learned how to play the oud in Morocco and Syria, Kaley was a member of UT Austin's Middle Eastern Music Ensemble.
