Agripino Silveira is from Fortaleza, Ceará state. He received his PhD in Linguistics from the University of New Mexico. He is currently teaching at Stanford University. His research focuses on the acquisition of Portuguese by Spanish speakers and pedagogy. He enjoys soccer, cooking, reading, and antique shopping. He has been teaching at Middlebury since 2012. He will be in charge of Levels 3 and 4, the graduate phonetics class, and practice of pronounciation.
