COVID-19 Updates: Fall Semester

Undergraduate Payment Options

*Fall semester bill notification emails were sent to students' Middlebury email accounts and to authorized payers on July 20. Payment in full or enrollment in the payment plan is due by August 15. For the fall 2020 semester only there will be a grace period for making full payment, and late payment fees will not be charged.

*Spring semester bill notification emails will be sent in early November. Payment will be due December 15.

When students register for any class at Middlebury or receive any service from Middlebury, they accept full responsibility to pay all tuition, fees and other associated costs assessed as a result of registration and/or receipt of services. The student further agrees that their registration and acceptance of associated terms constitutes a promissory note agreement in which Middlebury is providing educational services, deferring some or all of the payment obligation for those services, and they promise to pay for all assessed tuition, fees and other associated costs by the published or assigned due date.

Nelnet Campus Commerce

Middlebury partners with Nelnet Campus Commerce to provide students and their designated authorized payers with online billing and payments. Nelnet sends emails to students when the bill is ready to view at the student's online account.

First-year students need to follow the link in the bill notification email to set up their user account. We strongly encourage setting up parents or guardians as authorized payers during the initial log on, so parents/guardians have access to the student's account for making payments and enrolling in payment plans.

Electronic Bank Transfer Payment

Once logged in, students or authorized payers can complete an electronice bank transfer to make payment. There is no service processing fee for this payment.

Credit Card Payment

Credit card payments are processed by Nelnet. Nelnet will add a 2.75% service processing fee to all credit card payment transactions. The service fee is non-refundable.

Payment Plan Options

Nelnet provides monthly payment plans options each semester. There is a $20 per semester enrollment fee. To enroll, log in to your online account at www.nbspayments.com.  From the welcome page, select 'Set up Payment Plan' next to the appropriate semester.
