Carmen Carballo Sanchiz

Professor Carmen Carballo Sanchiz, from Spain, received her B.A. in Spanish Philology (Linguistics) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She has taught at Duke University in North Carolina and the following U.S. university programs in Madrid: New York University, University of Delaware, Pepperdine University, and Middlebury College. She has also worked at the Real Academia Española as a lexicographer. She is currently a professor with Middlebury College’s program in Madrid and New York University in Madrid. From 2004 to 2014 Carmen taught Spanish grammar at Middlebury College in Vermont and Mills in California.
