My advising philosophy:

I encourage students to reflect on their various interests, strengths, and passions when starting to explore career options. I’m available to chat about industry trends and practical skills while also sharing my own professional experiences, lessons learned, and insights.

How did you get to Midd, Alicia?

Over the last few years, I’ve mentored MiddCORE students in numerous ways. I’ve advised students about business challenges in the corporate world and encouraged them to develop possible solutions. In addition, I collaborated with students on cultivating their own creative ideas and resolutions to issues they have witnessed or experienced in their lives.

What's the most rewarding aspect of your role at Middlebury?

Listening to students’ life stories and ambitions while advising them has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience for me.

What is one crossroad or misstep you faced in your professional career, and how do you reflect on it now?

Not having all the decision makers believe and advocate early on in the development of a program. I would not make that mistake twice.

Wisdom you want all Middlebury students to know, in six words or less:

Always learn something and challenge yourself
