Health and Wellness Education offers a variety of drug education options for students to reflect on the role of substances in their lives and work toward changes that support their academic and personal goals.

Cannabis Ed

Cannabis Ed is a one-session, 90 minute, educational group facilitated by a provider from Health and Wellness Education. The goal is to create an open, non-judgmental space to discuss safe cannabis use practices and strategies to reduce harmful cannabis use. The health educator will guide students in conversation about personal use and community norms related to cannabis. To sign up for Cannabis Ed visit go/schedulecannabis-ed.

CASICS (Cannabis Screening and Brief Intervention for College Students)

CASICS consists of two, individual, 60 minute sessions with a CASICS provider from Health and Wellness Education. CASICS explores patterns of a student’s cannabis use, provides education about safe cannabis use and discusses strategies for risk reduction if a student chooses to engage in cannabis use. CASICS providers aim to provide an open, non-judgmental environment which fosters increased personal awareness of cannabis and other substance use. The sessions are scheduled one to two weeks apart. Other Drugs online course

The Other Drugs online course takes about 30 minutes to complete. It provides the physiological, health, and legal consequences of drug use and possession. This course covers stimulants, inhalants, ecstasy or hallucinogens, street opioids, herbal/synthetic drugs, sedatives and prescription painkillers.
