Peg has been a staff nurse at Parton Health Service since 1987, following a year of nursing on Porter Hospital's medical surgical unit. Peg graduated from Middlebury College in 1979 with a B.A. in Russian, and from University of Vermont in 1986 with an A.D. in Nursing. She is Board Certified in College Health Nursing by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center. Peg is thrilled to have come full circle back to Middlebury and enjoys sharing professors and staff members in common with her students, and speaking a little Russian on occasion.
Peg is passionate about college health and the students she works with. She strives to value the uniqueness of each student and to provide care that is open, inclusive and affirms our cultural differences. She is a volunteer with Hospice Volunteer Services and the Open Door Clinic, where she often overlaps with Middlebury students. Peg enjoys running, cross country skiing, travel, the arts and sports spectating (go Panthers!). Having lived in the Middlebury Community since a child, Peg had the honor of meeting Dr. Parton, for whom our Center is named, and growing up with some of his children. Peg and her husband make their home in Weybridge and have two children.
