Middlebury College has long been a leader in the wise use of resources, regarding both the careful stewardship of our land as well as the processing and disposal of what we use on campus. The college runs its own recycling center and compost operation, which is responsible for diverting over 60% of our waste from ending up in the landfill. And our building deconstruction policy ensures that material from old buildings is reused and recycled.
